Consultation
A typical consultation takes about two hours of face-to-face planning, then I will take an additional two hours two build your detailed individualized plan at home. Once you have gone over the plan and we have finalized the details, we can determine whether you want to have me return to help with construction, animal care, or for one or more follow-ups. Consultations cost $50 per hour.
Design and Construction
If you took a class on design or construction, you may already be satisfied. If you received a consultation, you will already have a design but may want help with the construction. Or, you can come have me help you design your housing or build housing based off a design from our catalog or of your own invention. Either way, I charge $20 per hour both for the design and the construction. The design process takes about an hour and a typical chicken coop or goat house takes about X hours to complete. Animal Care
Short-term maintenance is charged by the week and will depend on how many animals you have. The base price is $5 per chicken per day for two fifteen minute visits each day during which I will clean out coops and runs, collect eggs, feed and water the chickens, and move the coop if necessary. For goats, I charge $15 per goat per day for two thirty minute visits during which I will feed and water, rotate fencing if applicable, milk any goats who need it, and check on pregnant does or kids. Bees require one 60 minute visit every other week per every three hives, which costs $20, except for during harvesting time, which requires a three-hour visit, which will cost $60.
Long-term maintenance is charged by the month and the base rate is $120 per month for up to eight chickens, two goats, or three bee hives. Rates are adjusted accordingly for more animals. I am always willing to discuss a sliding scale of payment where some of the fee is waived in return for excess eggs, milk, or honey which might otherwise go to waste.

Follow-ups
Follow-ups can either be purchased after a consultation if you want just a bit more guidance, or on their own if you need advice about animals you already own, sick animals, introducing new animals, or other one-time situations. I charge $30 for a single one-hour follow-up or if you know in advance you're going to want more than one you can purchase four for $90 or eight for $160.
